Rehab Medical celebrates employees on “big” work anniversary years: five, ten, fifteen, and now twenty-year anniversaries.

This year, Terry Thompson, service technician specialist, marked a major milestone: 10 years with the company! His career journey over the past decade reflects both his dedication and the opportunities for growth within our company:

  • 2014 – Began as a Customer Service Representative, building a foundation in patient support and problem-solving.

  • 2019 – Promoted to Team Lead and honored with the Excellence Award for dedication and performance.

  • Later that year, transitioned to a Technician role at the Indianapolis South office, gaining valuable hands-on patient experience.

  • Advanced to Inventory Specialist, broadening his knowledge and perspective on patient orders and operations.

  • 2024 – Returned to the corporate office as a Customer Service Technician, where he now supports field technicians with complex troubleshooting and provides direct patient support through Live Lens technology.

“One moment that stands out for me is when Terry decided to take a chance and step into a Technician role. That move was a huge milestone in his personal and professional development, showing his willingness to take risks and give his all. From there, the floodgates opened — Terry continued to grow by taking on new challenges,” said Jarrad Rankin vice president of operations. “Terry has grown into a seasoned specialist and leader-in-action who contributes greatly to both our patients and our team.”

His supervisor, Ross Morris, customer service technician manager, added, “What stands out most about Terry is his ability to help numerous patients on a consistent basis. His drive keeps our service queues under control and helps the entire team operate at a high level. With his background as an Inventory Specialist, he brings a unique perspective to processing patient orders and tackling complex challenges. He truly embodies our value of Hard Work with Balance, always making sure patients are served efficiently.”

To celebrate this big anniversary, Terry enjoyed a bucket list trip to Philadelphia thanks to airfare tickets from Rehab Medical.

While in Philly, Terry explored iconic landmarks like the Rocky Balboa statue and the Liberty Bell, indulged in authentic cheesesteaks from Geno’s Steaks, Pat’s King of Steaks, and Chickie’s & Pete’s. He also visited the city’s famous sports stadiums, home to the Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles. The highlight was attending the Eagles vs. Cowboys season opener at Lincoln Financial Field, as it included the 2024 Super Bowl banner drop. From his amazing seats, Terry got to see some of his favorite players up close, including Jordan Mailata and Brandon Graham, who proudly displayed his two Super Bowl rings.

To make the experience even more meaningful, Terry brought his godparents along, who shared in both the excitement of the game and the chance to show him around Philadelphia.

“This was surely an unforgettable experience,” Terry shared. “I’m so glad I got to do this.”

“Terry’s story reminds us that growth happens when we step forward, even when it feels uncomfortable,” noted Jarrad. “He’s an example to all of us on how to overcome our fears, and I believe his story is just beginning.”

Terry’s story is one of growth, resilience, and impact - not only on patients but on teammates and our company culture. We are proud to celebrate his 10 years of dedication and grateful to recognize these milestones with personal, meaningful experiences.
