Igniting Rehab Medical’s rapid growth, the southeast region has been one of the primary areas producing new offices, new employees, as well as new and emerging leaders. Most recently, Igor Rodriguez joined the new and emerging leaders’ roster following his promotion to branch manager for the new Jacksonville, Florida office.
Igor, who began his career with Rehab Medical in 2022, started out as a delivery tech but quickly advanced himself to an inventory specialist. After making his skill set, passion, and eagerness to learn known, word spread and other leaders in the company began relying on him. While stationed in Florida, Igor made several trips to the Alabama office, the Louisiana office, and even went as far as the Ohio office to offer his assistance.
“After I became a delivery tech, I looked for more ways I could help others in the company and when I heard the Alabama office needed help with training a few new techs, I quickly offered my assistance,” said Igor.
“Shortly after, I heard the Ohio office needed assistance with their techs during a restructuring process, so I got in touch with Ryan Weinrich to express my interest in helping where I could.”
Having a ‘must-do’ mindset to assist regardless of whether it was his responsibility or not is what made him stand out as the perfect candidate for overseeing the Jacksonville office. He is driven to succeed and is constantly looking for ways on how to improve patient experiences.

“After meeting Igor at the 2024 Annual Conference, I could tell he was committed to taking care of our patients, understood our mission, and had the capacity to learn and grow his skill sets,” said Shelley Gross, director of field operations.
“When Igor expressed interest in the branch manager position, I looked for three key skill sets I consider the price of admission for becoming an effective leader: capacity, passion, and coachability. Igor not only exemplified these skills, but he was also willing to take ownership and that's what makes him a great leader,” continued Shelley.
Since the office has opened, Igor has made tremendous strides in creating efficient workflows within the warehouse and boosting employee morale. He recently implemented a test pilot work schedule for his employees to see if it can create better workflows, enhance employee satisfaction, and cut overall costs for the business. He believes when you have an employee’s first mindset, it creates a snowball effect for all around success.
Igor’s promotion demonstrates the type of culture and employee growth Rehab Medical is striving to achieve. Employees who wish to follow in Igor’s footsteps or other leaders in the company, Shelley suggests, “Make it known that you want to grow in the organization, understand what is required to grow, and ask yourself if you have the capacity to balance the workload.”
