Following a thorough review of the Compliance and Payor Relations departments, we’ve made strategic changes to strengthen our focus and streamline operations that reflect our ongoing commitment to operational efficiency, compliance excellence, and team collaboration.
As some may know, Michael Farrell, who joined us in October as VP of Regulatory and Funding, has recently departed the company for personal reasons. We thank Michael for his contributions during his time here and wish him the best.
Here’s what’s changing, and why:
We’re Narrowing and Strengthening the Focus of Compliance
The role of compliance is critical to our business and removing the licensing, credentialing and external audit components allows Compliance to be more narrowly focused on our Compliance Program, emphasizing education and understanding of our policies and procedures, as well as adherence to our policies. Our compliance program is here to protect our patients, our employees and the company. We do these through the core elements of our Compliance Program:

Michael Jackson and Sonja Bryant will remain focused on our Compliance Program and will continue to be resources for all employees, working across departments to support the company and our patients.
We’re Creating a Comprehensive Approach to Licensing, Credentialing, and Contracting
These areas work together in a collaborative and cross functional way. Bringing them into one team allows for a more effective and efficient process. They all serve different purposes, but are closely related.

Pulling in the external audit and documentation request function into Payor Relations gives us prompt feedback on what is being requested from payors on post-payment claims. This will create speed of information and awareness.
We’re excited to welcome Richard DeLeon, Kerri Zych, and Eureka Whetstone to the Payor Relations team, led by April Tischler. They join the current Payor Relations team members Shari Cline, Katie Burkhard, and Mandy Mosher. April’s experience in these areas along with the vast skills each team member brings will make this transition a smooth one.
Creating one unified team that is focused on ensuring that each of our sites can deliver on our mission every day reduces confusion and allows for efficient operations, helping us stay aligned with our company pillar of sustainability.
Please join us in celebrating this transition and the incredible employees contributing to our continued success. If you have any questions about the restructuring, feel free to reach out to your manager or the leadership team.
