As Rehab Industries’ network of companies continues its mission of improving lives, we’d like to highlight several teams that put our mission in action and gave back to their local communities.
Rehab Medical Gives Back to its Community
In May, the Rehab Medical team partnered with Servants at Work (SAWs), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing freedom to people with permanent disabilities in low-income households through ramp builds, to build its 4000th ramp! Due to the continued partnership between both organizations, mobility users across the state of Indiana have experienced mobility freedom like never before.
Rehab Medical's Indy South team participated in the 8th Annual Cure SMA Walk for Graham, a powerful event that unites the Indiana community to raise awareness and funds for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). Thanks to efforts like these, funds raised contribute to SMA research and support programs.
The Austin, Texas team proudly sponsored the CPATH (Cerebral Palsy Awareness Transition Hope) Light the Path fundraiser. This incredible event raises funds for individuals battling cerebral palsy. Thanks to Rehab Medical of Austin sponsoring the event, resources were provided for adaptive recreational programs, educational workshops, inclusive family camps, and much-needed support for individuals transitioning into adulthood with cerebral palsy.
The team also sponsored NeuroHope’s Golf Scramble in Indianapolis, Indiana. NeuroHope, a non-profit outpatient therapy clinic designed to rehabilitate those recovering from neurological conditions, uses the Golf Scramble event to raise funds for its aquatic and speech therapy programs, among other specialized rehabilitative programs.

Cork Medical Gives Back to its Community
Cork Medical got the chance to volunteer at Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana as a part of their Food Pantry Drive Thru. The team spent time directing traffic, bagging bulk food items, and provided customers with healthy and nourishing food.
At their most efficient, Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana can make as many as eight meals from a single dollar. Cork donated $3,000 to fulfil nearly 400 meals for those in need. And even better, during the month of September, Corteva Agriscience provided a match for any contribution made to Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana.
With the matching program, Cork Medical was able to make twice the impact, producing an even greater difference in the lives of thousands of Hoosiers experiencing food insecurity.

Forza Gives Back to its Community
The Forza team volunteered with SAWs to build a ramp for a Veteran who has bravely faced multiple strokes and was in need of safe access to his home. Honoring his roots in Hawaii, the team proudly flashed the 'shaka' sign, a symbol of Aloha and support. The team was truly honored to give back to this Veteran who has given so much.
Additionally, the Forza team proudly sponsored the Firefly Children & Family Alliance Hope for the Holidays program, helping to making the holiday season brighter for children and families in need.
