The improve lives mission goes beyond the lives of our patients, partners, and employees, it extends to our communities as well. As a company with locations across the nation, we are supporting individuals and teams who wish to volunteer for a charitable organization of their choosing. Through funding set aside specifically for non-profit community service and community outreach, we’re grateful to be able to offer every employee one paid volunteer day off per year!

 

We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity as others have in the past. A few organizations our employees have volunteered with include: the YMCA, local food banks, Servants at Work (SAWs), local homeless shelters, the Special Olympics Indiana chapter, Random Acts of Flowers, NubAbility, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and many others.

 

Leaders of each department or branch should work with their teams on which charitable organization they’d like to contribute to and when. Once an organization and date has been determined, leaders will need to submit a request to the HR team through the HelpDesk portal at least 30 days prior to the event for approval and next steps.

 

If volunteering is not required or needed for the chosen non-profit organization, you may request a community outreach donation for the organization of your team’s collective choosing. Donation amounts can range from $500 up to $4,000, however, actual donation amounts will be determined by the number of employees on the team who wish to contribute. Limited funds are available each quarter.

 

Employees are encouraged to take up to 8 hours per year to volunteer in their community. These hours must be used to work with a 501(c)(3) organization and be used on the day of volunteering. This volunteer day should be planned at least 30 days in advance and be requested in the time and attendance system. Volunteer days are subject to approval, do not carry over from year-to-year, and unused days are not paid out upon termination. We encourage teams to organize community service events during the year and for employees to utilize their volunteer day on the day of the team's community service event.
